I am not making this up.
I drove a car exactly like this when I was in high school. We got it when it was nine years old, but still beautiful. My father drove a company car, so I drove the Lincoln to school.

1953 Allstate

This scooter has been restored for ten or twelve years, but when I entered it in the SECC Spring scooter show. It won first place in class.

I had not planned to enter the show, and just brought the Allstate to ride, but one of the club officers came by and said they needed some more scooters to judge. And the rest, they say, is history . . .

It's a Packard. You can tell it isn't an elephant because the trunk is in the back.

Old and new. These cars were waiting to join the homecoming parade at Middle Tennessee State University. I graduated there in 1958.

This is probably a 1948 model, but I'm not sure. It was in flawless condition. The picture was taken in Bedford, Massachusetts.

OK, it isn't and old car, but I find the paint job interesting.
